Can the heater be left out in the rain?

Bromic Heaters are weather resistant, but not water proof. The Bromic Tungsten Portable can be exposed to the elements but as with any outdoor product, the better the care, the longer the life. We recommend covering the heater when not in use or storing it under cover when the gas bottle is removed.

Does the Tungsten Portable come with a cover?

The Tungsten Portable heater does not come with a cover, but we do recommend to order a cover to ensure the heater is protected from the elements when not in use.

Can I use the heater with Natural Gas or just LPG?

We do offer a conversion kit that allows the heater to be hooked up to a natural gas line (Product #BH8280050)

What kind of gas tank can be used with the heater?

The Bromic Tungsten Portable can hold a standard 5 gallon propane tank or a 10 gallon propane tank.

Is the Tungsten Portable heater adjustable in power and output?

The Tungsten Portable heater has a heat output of 38,500 BTU’s when using either propane or natural gas fuel sources that can be adjusted using the control knob on the back of the heater.

Can the Tungsten Portable heater be left on all night?

While the Tungsten Portable heater is designed for extended use, Bromic recommends turning it off when not in use for safety and energy conservation.

Is the Tungsten Portable heater hard to move?

No. Tungsten Portable gas outdoor heaters are designed with maneuverability in mind. Does the Tungsten Portable heater need ventilation?

Bromic’s Tungsten Portable heaters use either propane or natural gas fuel sources requiring ventilation as potential harmful biproducts are released into the air when ignited. Please refer to the corresponding Installation Manual to ensure proper clearances are met for safe operation.

Can I use the Tungsten Portable heaters in a covered patio?

Yes, the Tungsten Smart-Heat™ Portable heater is suitable for use under covered patios as long as proper clearances are met, and the covered area is well ventilated. 

Is the Tungsten Portable heater resistant to wind?

The Tungsten Portable heater is designed to efficiently overcome winds of up to 8mph. For optimal performance and safety, it’s recommended to position the heater in a way that minimizes exposure to strong, gusty winds.
